Longest one-piece panels
Friday 21 October 2011This month the Glasatelier constructed the longest one-piece stained glass panels that they have constructed. The panels were 360 and 80 x 80 x 316 cm. The lead was replaced to avoid the danger that the panels would sag.
In the pictures you see: 01. the windows in situ, prior to restoration 02. The lead came is removed and the glass is cleaned, 03. The glass is on the table and ready to be re-leaded, 04. Danny applies the reinforcing rods, 08. the window is cleaned and packed, ready for transport, 09. The panels are brought to the truck, 10. The Glasatelier made a ship for a private party. Painted
stained glass, size: 20 x 29 cm. The first picture shows the state after the
first layer grisaille. After this, each of the colors was applied and fired in
a separate layer.

Monday 03 October 2011The Glasatelier created a window that was designed by Marcel Wouters in the style of Art Nouveau. On a background of light blue and yellow glass there is a name painted in transparent red paint in the style of around 1910.
Size: 76x98 cm. The window will be placed inside triple glazing.
