Glasatelier Oud Rijswijk BV focuses on the restoration, design and construction of stained glass windows and but also provides services on other glass projects. We offer related services such as the digital measurement, formal project reports and customized advice.

Professional market
Most of the efforts of the atelier is focused on the restoration, renovation and new construction market. This means that we are often busy with large projects, such as the restoration of churches and monuments, that may take months or even years to complete. The design and construction of new projects is also important in the atelier. Our highly acclaimed designer and stained glass painter, Hans van der Valk, is responsible for the development of many windows that have pleased clients over the years. The atelier also works with well-known artists that would like to realize their work in stained glass or related techniques.



Sales to private parties
Glasatelier Oud Rijswijk products and services are also available to private persons. Our atelier has over 28 years of experience with the development, production and repair of all types of stained glass. Please feel free to contact us regarding your specific needs.

All projects
The atelier is not limited to only stained glass and stained glass painting. There are many “glass possibilities,” such as modern glass objects and glass art. Our inspired designer can prepare a proposal based on your wishes or creative ideas.
Delivery and placement of many different types of glass
Along with the design and creative of painted stained glass windows, we can also deliver and place: glass appliqué, verre murail, sand-blasted glass, UV-resistant glass, tempered (structured) glass and sun-reflective glass.

Digital measurements
Thanks to a direct link to common CAD-systems, measured contours can be quickly translated to scale drawings. The measuring apparatus can be connected to CNC production machines thus separate programming is unnecessary and it is possible to obtain accurate drawings in minutes.

• Compact and portable, with a rechargeable battery (3 hours measuring time with fully-charged battery)
• Fast results achieved and few persons required for operation
• Delivery time of finished window shortened and the fabrication process standardized
• Solidly constructed measuring device works in horizontal, vertical or slanted position, 3-D measurement
• Easy to use, minimal training required
• Measurements shown direct in digital drawings
• Results can be exported as DXF and used in CAD programs
• Use of traditional scale models is no longer needed
• Can measure shapes up to 10 meter diameter
• Precise measurements (0.3 mm tolerance)

Proposal- and project results
On request we can also prepare information on a CD-ROM for the client. A proposal might include a technical analysis, and information on the style, techniques, history as well as any images that might be painted on the glass. Project-specific advice can be included.
For the final report of a stained glass restoration we utilize computer drawing programs to reflect the different phases of the project, including the applicable restoration techniques and the end result. The client is provided with a CD/DVD-ROM. This useful information can then be stored for future reference.
